Put me in the pool

We bought a 4 ft. by 18 ft. aboveground pool. Now we simply need the sand. Unfortuately, the truck is on the skids right now. It's only $140 to have the sand people bring 12 TONS. Yep, 12 tons. I told the guy I didn't need to landscape my yard in sand. He found that entertaining. If we go get a truckload, it's $12. See the problem?
Now, we must figure out how to get the sand here so that I may throw the chickens in the pool. I'm still pondering this one. I'll keep you posted.

Kids have been decent today. There has been no bloodshed. Manners have been used. We even picked up the yard a bit. All in all, not a bad day whatsoever. Tomorrow is more work on the heathen bathroom. ACK!

Hope your Friday was a keeper. Sympathies if it wasn't.

What, you can't figure out what to do with 12 tons of sand???? WHY NOT? :)

I'm just a poor, pitiful excuse for a person. *snickering*
Good news: We're borrowing a friend's truck. THANK GOD!
So now I don't have to figure out what to do with 12 tons of flipping sand.

Briana: I have the mutant, waterbaby chickens. They won't stop until they look like a raisin that's been left in the sun too long. And I'm thinking...ya know, I like the ocean, but I can do without the sharks. :)
Michelle: Oh yes. They are counting down to Wednesday when we go acquire the sand we need. Funny thing being...if we wanted to run down to under a nearby bridge and get to shoveling, we could. I declined. LMAO
Jill: Oh yes. I'm hoping for a little peace and quiet. Of course, I must slather the chickens. Middle chicken burns to a crisp. She's fair-skinned.
