Daylight Savings Time

The hitch is not in remembering to set my clock and the microwave to the correct time. The hitch would be Middle Chicken being on the same page.
I had to come to work early today because the redesign from hell finished up, and we needed to shift items back to their proper homes. No problem. So I woke up around 6:30 am, shuffled to the bathroom and took my shower. Got the chickies up around 6:45 am.
No one was enthused.
Including me.
And as Middle Chicken sits on the couch putting on her multi-colored eyeshadow, she flips the curtain open, looks into the dark and says...What time is it anyway?
Oldest Chicken smiles and says...Well, it's almost seven. But really it should be six.
Middle Chicken frowns and says...I set my clock back two hours.
LMAO
Yeah. She set her clock BACK.
Oldest Chicken looks at her and laughs...What exactly do you think "spring forward" means?
Middle Chicken says...I don't know. But I just now turned my calendar over to March.
She shrugs and continues to apply eye make-up.
Cracked me up.
As for this weekend-spent Saturday shopping with the Chickens and taking them out to the Chinese Buffet. Mmmmmmmmmmmm
Sunday I wrote on WATS. I'm up to around 73,000 words. Yay!!!
My Easter lillies have bloomed in clusters around my yard. Maybe I'll snap a photo or two and post sometime later.
Enjoy the day!

I. Am. Bored.

It's my late night to work. And the evening stretches out in front of me like a desolate highway.
Oye
I'm on dinner break now. Surfed around to the local news sites to see what was up. Not a whole lot, as a matter of fact. Checked my MySpace. All my emails.
*drumming fingers on desk*
Yeah. Five more hours of this, and I'm golden.

The good news being that if I make it through tomorrow (let's all keep our fingers crossed, shall we?) then I have FOUR days off in a row. I took Friday off. The weekend is mine anyway. We're closed Martin Luther King Day.
The bad news is that I expected my W-2's in tomorrow. And it isn't happening.
Damn it.

Brought WATS on my flash drive and may work on that a bit this evening in the lull. If there is a lull. I could be lullless. Who knows? I do, however, know that I shall be here until nine o'clock this fine evening.
It's fantastic, I tell ya. Flippin' fantastic.
And by the time the evening ends, I'll be freezing my ass off because that lovely arctic air that is jacking up several other parts of the U.S. is headed my way. Possible flurries tomorrow. We shall see.

And totally off the subject...I have a new favorite song. Look up Pink on YouTube and check out "Sober." It's listed as "Unsuitable for Minors" because some asswipe doesn't know his/her ass from his/her elbow.
But here are the lyrics:
I don't wanna be the girl who laughs the loudest
Or the girl who never wants to be alone
I don't wanna be that call at 4 o'clock in the morning
'Cos I'm the only one you know in the world that won't be home

Aahh the sun is blinding
I stayed up again
Oohh, I am finding
That's not the way I want my story to end

I'm safe
Up high
Nothing can touch me
But why do I feel this party's over?
No pain
Inside
You're like protection
But how do I feel this good sober?

I don't wanna be the girl who has to fill the silence
The quiet scares me cause it screams the truth
Please don't tell me that we had that conversation
I won't remember, save your breath, 'cos what's the use?

Aahh, the night is calling?
And it whispers to me softly come and play
But I, I am falling
And If I let myself go I'm the only one to blame

I'm safe
Up high
Nothing can touch me
But why do I feel this party's over?
No pain
Inside
You're like perfection
But how do I feel this good sober?

I'm coming down, coming down, coming down
Spinning 'round, spinning 'round, spinning 'round
Looking for myself - SOBER (x2)

When it's good, then it's good, it's so good till it goes bad
Till you're trying to find the you that you once had
I have heard myself cry, never again
Broken down in agony just tryna find a fit

Ooo Oooo

I'm safe
Up high
Nothing can touch me
But why do I feel this party's over?
No pain
Inside
You're like perfection
But how do I feel this good sober

OOooo OOoo

No Pain
Inside
Nothing can touch me
But why do I feel this party's over?
No pain
Inside
You're like perfection
How do I feel this good sober?

Will I ever feel this good sober?
Tell me, No no no no no pain
How do I feel this good sober?

WATS

This was my fallback novel. The one I worked on while tapping through Earth Goddess and Wind Goddess. A rather steady stream of words centered around a story that can make me smile by rereading it.
With all other contracted works finished (Thank you, God!), then I can fully concentrate on this little gem.
I like it.
It's already around 51,000 words. I'm targeting 90,000. And for those that have read me for awhile, you know that for me...it's a lengthy piece. And you're probably also aware that I must multi-write.
So there's this story...*grins*
And I'm considering targeting a Teen audience. Let me simply say this has NEVER crossed my mind before. EVER. But when this story idea came to me, I knew it wasn't Erotic Romance. That was certain. Now I simply have to feel it out and see where it fits.
*pondering*
You'll be the second to know.

The Write Stuff

Okay. It has a high cheese factor, but I am feeling GOOD!!!

And I've come to realize that I MUST multi-task/write. I can't simply work on one book and be well with it. Just doesn't happen.
When I wrote Earth Goddess, I always had WATS in the wings. Which, by the way, is over HALFWAY finished! Can I get a "Woo Woo"?
heh

Then when I finished Earth Goddess and picked WATS back up, I realized I needed something else to work on. So out came SWTWC. Which I am DIGGING!
And since I have strong masochistic tendencies, I've also started notes on my next four book series.
*grins*
Yeah.

And I haven't hit a block or a wall or anything. I'm trucking along writing my stuff which I'm enjoying the hell out of. It's fantastic.
Literary bliss.
*shaking my ass to and fro*
Yeah.
It's THAT good.
lmao

It's Wednesday? You don't say.

I worked Saturday. And I use the term "work" loosely. I vaguely remember inhaling decongestants at a rapid rate of speed. The day is, quite frankly, a blur. I called in Monday and Tuesday because I honestly thought my sinuses were going to explode. Today is a bit better, but I still have the lovely cough that reminds me of why I adore my bed so much.
*sigh*
Didn't write AT ALL Monday. Consciousness was a perk that day. But I did write a bit yesterday. Couple thousand words on WATS and around three thousand on Earth Goddess.
So I'm feeling a little better about life in general. I'm also in the midst of editing Wind Goddess.
It's another lovely day here in Oklahoma. The sun is hiding, and the rain is coming down like a mother. Thank God the chickens are in school. Because they spazz out in weather like this. LOL
I usually work a late night tonight but didn't because of a schedule change and a meeting. So I'll be going home at a decent hour and making some chicken and mac 'n' cheese. And then finding my lovely pillow and getting horizontal on my couch. Mebbe tap out a few more words. Depends on how the day treats me.

The writing--She is a Dominatrix with a whip and a smile

So.
The writing.

I'm currently working on Earth Goddess, WATS, and another Paranormal Romance. There's also this persistent little short story I may finish and send off to Amazon Shorts. We shall see, shan't we?
But it's all coming along. More smoothly now. Not so much in fits and starts. Which, quite frankly, was about to drive me to the liquor store. *eye roll*

We're gearing up for rain. Again. *tapping screen* Hear that, Tori? *grins*
The day job is the same ol' same ol. *shrug* Not much changing there. Had a lot of compliments on my newspaper article. Which is cool.
Except for the fact that I realize I must give up a bit of privacy. That's rather hard for me but something I'm sure I'll adjust to.
Wait! What's that I hear?
Ah, yes.
The lovely sound of an Oklahoma monsoon. *grins*
Have a good one,

Yesterday and today

I took yesterday off.
And OMG! It was absolutely glorious!!!

Had my hair done in the morning. Cut, colored, and highlighted. But I want stronger highlights, so I'll be going back for more next week. Came back to town and shopped a bit.
Picked the chickens up some clothes.
And some for me, too!
A new pair of jeans, a top, and new undies. *grins*
Love me some undies. And if that's possibly TMI...Too Damn Bad. lmaoooooooooo
(Oh! And guess what? My jeans are a size smaller than they were. BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!)

Today is a bit hectic. Back at work. We have people out again. So we're a bit shorthanded. Hasn't been too terribly bad. *knock on wood* We'll see how the afternoon pans out.
Hoping for the best.

I think I had a dream last night about WATS. Hmmmmm...it's a vague recollection. But interesting. This is the story that just keeps getting bigger and bigger. So I'm just going to hop on and take it where it leads me. It's rather exciting. *grins*
OK. And slightly scary as hell. :)~~

We're closed Monday for MLK Day. The chickens and I will have to go get into something.
Be afraid.
Be VERY afraid.
