This is Chance
He passed away yesterday. He was hit by a van in front of us. Flew into the air and landed in a ditch.
I've got to bury him today after work. This is hard for several reasons. But the one that sticks out in my mind the most is that he was the last piece of my old life. Before the fire. We ushered his great big heiney into the van and carted him off to where we were staying. Man, that dog could ride.
We love you, you big damn doofy dog. Go chase rabbits in Heaven.
Rest in Peace. 5-1-2007

I'm so sorry. *hugs*
Aww, Crystal, I'm SO sorry. :(
I'm sorry, so sorry for your loss. What a beautiful dog. Rest in peace, Chance.
Sorry to hear about your dog, that's just awful. Lots of hugs.
Thanks everyone. I really appreciate the comments. Maybe another dog in our future. But right now we're just dealing with the loss.
Middle chicken seems to be taking it particularly hard. Just one thing on top of another on top of another.

That breaks my heart for you and the chickens. I'm so sorry! Hugs, Joely
In doggie heaven they have rabbits and sheep and fox holes and bushes full of exciting smells, and no one tugs the leash to hurry up because there's no leashes, or collars or tags and they can roll in whatever they want, and rub their butts across sidewalks lined in new carpet after Humping the legs of angels.
He'll be all right. Much love to you. I know how much he'll be missed
